Altero is more than just a wine; it’s a modern interpretation of tradition. Born from the same high-altitude vineyards that produce our iconic Brunello, Altero is crafted for those who appreciate the perfect balance of richness, finesse, and approachability. Can age beautifully for 15-25 years.

Vinification: The fermentation that lasts for 8 days with a maximum temperature of 27°C, followed by 12 days of maceration.

Ageing: 36 months in French oak barrels of varying toast levels, plus an additional 8 months of bottle refinement.

Tasting notes:  Colour: deep ruby. Rich, powerful, extremely concentrated yet elegant and velvety. The silky and ripe tannins make it particularly smooth to the palate. Loads of plum, dark cherry and liquorice, tobacco and spices,  and a very long finish. A wine that will keep and further improve for many years.

Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled or braised red meats, game, aged cheeses, and hearty Tuscan stew.
