Cantina Toblino

History

Cantina Toblino was founded in 1960 by a group of passionate winegrowers in the Valle dei Laghi, a unique territory nestled between Lake Garda and the Brenta Dolomites. The cooperative was created to enhance and protect the winegrowing potential of the area, with a focus on native varieties and authentic expressions of Trentino’s terroir.

In 2010, the winery launched a new chapter through the creation of Toblino Srl – Viticoltori in Valle dei Laghi, a company devoted to organic farming and high-quality wine production. This marked a decisive shift toward sustainability, with the management of over 40 ha of certified organic vineyards directly under the winery’s care. Today, Cantina Toblino is a modern cooperative composed of over 600 members, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, precision viticulture, and territorial identity.

The Vineyards

The vineyards of Cantina Toblino stretch across the Valle dei Laghi, a breathtaking corridor suspended between Lake Garda and the Brenta Dolomites. This unique landscape is shaped by alpine breezes, glacial soils, and the shimmering lakes that reflect sunlight back onto the vines—creating a delicate balance between Mediterranean warmth and mountain freshness, ideal for expressive varieties like Schiava and Lagrein.

Planted on gentle terraces and gravelly plains, many of the vines grow at elevations between 200 and 600 metres, where the ‘Ora del Garda’ cools the grapes and preserves aromatic precision. Some vines are decades old, rooted in organic viticulture that values biodiversity, minimal intervention, and the natural rhythm of the land. These are vineyards that whisper of heritage, community, and deep respect for place.
