Description: this gin is inspired by the discoveries of Dr. Gil, physician on board the ship wrecked in Calabria in the late 1800s with Jefferson and Roger on board. the doctor was also an expert alchemist who managed to synthesize the poison of the fatal vipers of Rocca Imperiale. And not only. Gil is produced through the distillation of 4 main botanicals: juniper from Rocca Imperiale, absinthe, elderberry and angelica. It is then flavored with infusions of IGP lemons from Rocca Imperiale, Bergamot from Pellaro, bitter oranges from Bisignano, oregano from Paola and aloe. The latter are left to infuse for a period of 3-4 months. The result is coarsely filtered through a simple linen cloth to remove only the impurities due to distillation and thus maintain the original color. Unique of its kind, Gil Torbato Italiano is a distillate that is born thanks to the richness of Calabria, in the beautiful setting of the Sila, where Vecchio Magazzino Doganale has brought peat to light.

Tasting notes: his gin presents a pleasant and aromatic nose with subtle hints of smoke and citrus. On the palate, it reveals layers of smoky juniper, floral orange, bittersweet grapefruit, and leafy herbs. The finish is smooth and long, leaving a refined and lasting impression.
