Description: Bitter Rouge Red — crafted since 1920 in the famed Baracco de Baracho distillery near Turin and revived in 2013 by Compagnia dei Caraibi — is a bold, aromatic Italian bitter aperitif infused with 17 herbs and fruits entirely by delicate infusion.
Tasting notes: Bitter Rouge pours a vivid ruby-red colour with warm undertones reminiscent of summer geranium petals. On the nose, it offers a vibrant bouquet of floral and fruity aromas, layered with sweet toffee and a touch of bitter quinine. The palate is fresh, silky, and flavourful, balancing a pronounced quinine bitterness with caramel sweetness and a rich spice character. The finish is long and clean, leaving lingering notes of bitterness, soft spice, and citrus, making it ideal for sipping neat or as a refined component in classic cocktails such as the Americano or Milano Torino.
