Mora & Memo

History

Mora & Memo was founded in 2013 by Elisabetta Pala in the southeastern hills of Sardinia, near Serdiana. Coming from a family of winemakers, as both the daughter and granddaughter of vintners, Elisabetta established the estate with a clear intention: to produce wines that authentically reflect Sardinia’s indigenous grape varieties and distinctive terroir.

The name Mora & Memo references the “Mori,” a symbol deeply connected to the island’s cultural heritage. From its inception, the winery has aimed to unite tradition, identity, and a contemporary approach to Sardinian winemaking.

The Vineyards

The estate comprises approximately 40 hectares of vineyards located in the southeastern hills of Sardinia. These vineyards are dedicated to cultivating native grape varieties that express the character of the region.

The primary varieties grown include Vermentino, Monica, and Cannonau. Each is selected for its strong historical and cultural connection to Sardinia, supporting the winery’s focus on regional authenticity.

The Cellar

With an annual production of approximately 80,000 bottles, Mora & Memo maintains a boutique scale that allows for careful attention to quality and expression. The winemaking approach is centred on preserving varietal character and highlighting the individuality of Sardinia’s terroir.

Through measured production and a clear commitment to indigenous varieties, Mora & Memo continues to express the identity of its land with consistency and precision.
