Cantina Toblino
Lagrein Dunkel DOC Trentino 2020
Vinification: After crushing and de-stemming, maceration occurs in contact with the skins for about 10–12 days at a controlled temperature
Ageing: The wine is aged for several months in large oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Deep ruby red colour. On the nose, it is complex and full of character with fresh notes of berries and vanilla. On the palate, Lagrein Dunkel offers a good structure and great balance, with a soft and velvety taste.
Temperature of service: serve between 15–18°C, depending on style and preference.
Food Paring: pairs well with red meats such as grilled beef, roast lamb, or pork loin. It also complements game dishes like venison or wild boar, as well as rich poultry preparations including duck and guinea fowl. Its structure and freshness make it a good match for hearty stews and meat-based ragù, while its tannins and depth work nicely with mature or semi-hard cheeses such as Pecorino, Asiago, or aged Gouda.
